It's all very seemless for the most part. Logout and you are thrown back into EmulationStation. Want to switch to something else? Just quit out of it and you are thrown back into EmulationStation. What options are out there that will result in a simple interface that allows playing NES/SNES games and playing movies off a flash drive? Is there a single build out there that I can copy onto a micro SD card to accomplish this? Is there an easy method to dual boot an emulator and media player on one micro SD card? Or would it ultimately just be better to have a micro SD card for each purpose? My nephews are 5, 8, and 13, so giving them a raw linux distro to start with would most definitely be a mistake because I'll have to come over and fix things.

I'm planning on getting a couple of USB SNES controllers and setting up an emulator on it. My nephews, of course, are a bunch of boys so video games is good. I'd like to get them something that she could easily plug in a flash drive and play a multitude of video formats. My sister has a Roku for watching netflix, but is unable to play 'acquired' movies that I'll sometimes pass her way so she has to hook the laptop up awkwardly to the TV. I'm thinking about getting a raspberry pi for my nephews for Christmas this year to help spark their interest in computers/electronics and give them something fun to play with (they'll be getting parts and I'll help them put it together and get it running) The best thing?
